Come camping at Rondeau for a great family vacation, a fun weekend out, or a group retreat. With over 262 campsites within the beautiful, and rare, Oak Savannah ecosystem, you will not only leave with great memories with your friends and family but also with an increased connection with the many Carolinian species that call Rondeau their home.

How to Be a Great Camper

  1. Don’t burn fallen branches

Fallen branches are an important part of our ecosystem, providing home and nutrients to many species. They are also on crown property, which means it is an offence to collect, take or burn them.

  2. Keep our Wildlife Wild!

Sometimes it’s hard to resist feeding that cute chipmunk on your campsite. But over time, you are taking away their natural instincts for getting their own food and they will become dependent on humans. Please keep your campsites clean by putting garbage in the appropriate bins and food locked in your car.

  3. Wildflowers are Protected!

All natural features within the park are protected by law and although they may look pretty in a vase on your picnic table, they serve a more useful purpose growing in the wild. Many species of butterflies, moths, insects and birds are dependent on the nectar from the flowers.

  4. Campsite Cleanup

Park staff need your help to keep our park clean for everyone to enjoy! By leaving only one picnic table on your site, cleaning up your garbage and depositing it in an appropriate bin, and making sure your fire pit is empty; you can help keep Rondeau beautiful!
