Monday, August 18th:

10:30am – 12:00pm: Meet the Naturalist – Rondeau’s Time Table at the Park Store

Come reminisce about Rondeau’s unique history with characters from the past.

Tuesday, August 19th:

1:30pm – Guided Hike: The Life of an Insect at Spicebush Trail 

The world around us is huge! But could you imagine what life is like for the smallest of insects? Come join Edward on this guided hike to learn what life is like from the perspective of a bug.

Wednesday, August 20th:

10:30am – Children’s Program: Lively Lepidoptera at the Bayside Parking Lot

Butterflies and moths come in all shapes and sizes! Join us to become a ‘certified lepidopterist’ and see how many species you can find in the park.

Thursday, August 21st:

10:30am – Bike Hike: Rondeau’s Raptor Ride at the Playground

Join Dennis on this bike hike, as he discusses the real-life superhero’s of the forest, and how they need sidekicks like us to defeat their biggest weaknesses. Don’t forget to bring water and helmets!

Friday, August 22nd:

8:30pm – Evening Program: Starlit Shorelines at the Visitor’s Centre

Many people enjoy Rondeau’s beach during the heat of the day, but what about what happens at night? Join Dennis to learn about the nocturnal creatures that share the beach with us.

Saturday, August 23rd:

1:00pm – 3:00pm: Meet the Naturalist – Animal Tracking at the Playground

Whose tracks are those? Do you have what it takes to be a nature detective? Come meet Leah to develop your tracking skills.

9:00pm – Evening Program: Owl Prowl at the Visitor’s Centre

Join Edward to learn about the amazing adaptations that make owls the masters of the night sky! After a short talk around the campfire, there will be a night hike prowling for Rondeau’s owls!

1:00pm – A Feeding Frenzy at the Visitor’s Centre

Come meet our animal ambassadors and learn how you can help protect these species at risk!

Feeling artistic today? Drop by the bayside picnic shelter to create your own set of Rondeau greeting cards using beam paints!

The aging of Rondeau brings on many changes to the landscape. Come join this guided hike to view the southern point of the park showcasing current changes while learning about the past of Rondeau.

Saturday, August 16th:

7:30pm – Evening Program: Rondeau Rewound at Beach Access #9

Join us for an exciting evening as we travel through Rondeau’s past! Who will we meet on our journey? Join us to find out!

Sunday, August 17th:

Memberships and Board Member Opportunities

Hello Everyone,

I am pleased to report that our PayPal forms for donations and memberships are back up and running. This means that you can now pay for your yearly memberships online if you would prefer.

I would also like to take this opportunity to put a call out to all members who are interested in joining our board as a director or officer. 2024 is an election year for the FOR. If you are interested, please send a message to rondeauprovincialpark@gmail.com and state which position you would like to put your name forth for. The positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary are up for election. Alternatively you may choose to put your name for for a director position, of which there is no fixed number!
