I am so excited!! For the last few days I have been sitting here in my living room by our large window watching the spring birds arrive to our feeder. I noticed one bird that comes in that I could not identify in either of my bird books. It was exactly like a rose breasted grosbeak but had a beautiful bright intense yellow patch on its breast. I googled rose breasted grosbeaks and clicked images and low and behold there was a photo of my bird! Thank you for solving this mystery for my husband and I. We live in northern Michigan and love watching the birds all year long.

In reply to <a href="https://rondeauprovincialpark.ca/march-break/#comment-45">Debbie</a>.

The festival runs the 16th and 17th. However, the Ontario Falconry Raptor show is only Sunday at 1:00pm. There is a cost to all non-pass holders to get into the park, but the Rondeau Bay Waterfowler's Association will be paying for the first 25 cars through the gate each day. I am not sure of the exact menu for the BBQ, but there will likely be water available. If not, the Friends of Rondeau bookstore sells water inside the Visitor Centre.
